SAFETY & SECURITY

Safety

Cherokee CRC safety goals are top priority.  Our commitment to safety is demonstrated by our zero work related injuries and accidents based on the annual US Department of Labor, OSHA Safety Log Reporting.  In addition, our employees are 30-hr OSHA certified, 10-hr OSHA certified, 40-hr HAZWOPER certified, as well as trained as Red Cross first aid responders.  Cherokee CRC develops specific site safety health plans, activity hazard analysis controls, and hazardous material data for each project.  The plans, controls and data are generated from the United States Army Corps of Engineers, "Safety and Health Requirements Manual", EM 385-1-1, September 15, 2008 and OSHA regulations and industry standards.

Our safety is implemented for federal agency and private industry projects and by Safety Officers who diligently oversee these projects.  Currently, our Safety Officers are working on projects at the Gulf Coast Oil Spill, USAF (Tinker AFB), USAF (Dover AFB), US Army (Picatinny Arsenal), USACE (Cushing, OK) and other locations nationally.

Security

Cherokee CRC maintains a vigilant position about security.  Security is an everyday occurrence within our company, from the maintenance of sensitive documentation to the policies and procedures that are exercised in the vetting of new employees both on Federal and public locations.  Cherokee CRC currently holds a facility security clearance with the Defense Security Service.

Cherokee CRC has a highly effective and efficient set of policies and procedures that guide Human Resources and new employees through the process of being badged on a federal facility or beginning employment at one of our company locations.  This includes a complete background investigation, pre-employment drug and alcohol screen (DOT, on an as needed basis) and personal interviews.  Cherokee CRC also maintains a training program in conjunction with our federal clients to ensure our on-site employees understand and implement sound security practices in the areas of Information Technology, Document Security and Facility Access.
